• I qualified as a Construction plumber 38 years ago at Olifantsfontein in 1982.
• In those days, to qualify as a plumber 38 years ago, we had to pass with the
  knowledge of roofing, parapet walls and chimney flashings carried out with lead or aluminum bitumen products.
• My apprenticeship was served through the public works department where we were taught the hard way.
• I quickly became a leader with staff workers under my supervision and this is where I learnt about the entire building industry as we had to service all the government buildings throughout the Western Cape.
• I picked up on plumbing – tiling – electrical – bricklaying – plasterworks – painting – ceilings and most importantly roofing / waterproofing and box gutters etc.
• I am a past member of the NHBRC and have built a few prize roofing houses –
  single/double and triple storey homes.
• Any roofing / waterproofing and painting problems / ceiling repairs can be solved by Anchor Roofing & Waterproofing West Coast – We are available all seasons, throughout the year.
• I also worked for the Building works department with the Cape Town City Council servicing all the roof repairs to the power stations and sub stations throughout the
  Western Cape.
